Yarns of the past

The laboratory analyses the activity of weaving which it is supposed was undertaken at the Etruscan settlement of the Forcello. With the assistance of images and showing some finds from the excavations, the tools and the techniques used for weaving will be presented. Then, participation in the weaving of a small woollen rug, using a reconstructed vertical loom created on the basis of archaeological proof, will follow. Finally, each participant will create rope and plaits and a small piece of material, threading and weaving wool by using small looms.
