The art of the potter

The laboratory shows the techniques in the preparation of clay, from modelling and decoration to the firing of the pots and vases. The different classification of ceramics found at the Forcello are shown, and include an explanation of the functions of the various containers. Afterwards, each participant will mould some clay and make a pot made using the small dove technique. The pots will then be decorated, with the use of simple tools, with motifs or inscriptions which appear on Etruscan pottery.
